Former Additional IGP sent legal notice to Banglalink

A former additional IGP of police Dr. Md. Najibur Rahman has sent a legal notice for shutting down the personal Banglalink SIM for a few days without showing any reason. The notice has been sent seeking to know the reasons behind SIM blocking by 21 July. Najibur Rahman's lawyer Barrister M Ashraful Islam conveyed this information on Sunday (July 17). He said that the notice has been sent to the Post, Telecommunication and Information Technology Secretary, Home Secretary, Chairman of BTRC, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Banglalink Digital Communications Limited. It is reported that from October 9 last year, the additional IGP of police Dr. Md. Najibur Rahman is in PRL. Suddenly on July 8 at 9:13 PM, his personally used Banglalink SIM was switched off. He then contacted Banglalink and BTRC to find out the reason for blocking the SIM and could not reactivate it. Later on July 14 at 12 noon the SIM was reactivated. Therefore, the former Additional IGP of Police Najibur could not communicate with the government, police and relatives as the SIM was off during this time before Eid-ul-Adha.
